NEW YORK, NY (June 25, 2007) − For four days this fall, Grand Central Station will be transporting visitors not just to points north and east, but also to the finest spas across the globe.

That’s because from Wednesday, October 31 through Saturday, November 3, the world’s busiest commuter terminal will host the first-ever Spa Experience, an interactive event designed to both immerse visitors in the pleasures and benefits of spa and inspire them to plan a trip to one of the 60 world-class spas exhibiting at the show.

Presented by Spa Finder, the world’s largest spa media and marketing company, the four-day event will be free and open to the public.

With interest in spa travel growing, The Spa Experience will provide the half-million commuters and shoppers who daily pass through the terminal the chance to experience first-hand the specialties offered by spas from as faraway as Asia and Australia. Spas participating in The Spa Experience range from Tuscon’s Miraval to Anguilla’s CuisinArt Resort & Spa to India’s Ayurmana Spa at Kumarakom Lake Resort.

Additionally, four leaders in the world of spa beauty – Kama Ayurveda, Clarins Skin Spa, jane iredale - The Skin Care Makeup®, and MD Skincare by Dr. Dennis Gross – will transform the busiest terminal on earth into a center of bliss at "Spa Retreat Centers," private areas where visitors can receive one of the companies’ signature treatments, such as an Alpha Beta® Face Peel from MD Skincare® by Dr. Dennis Gross or expert color matching and mini-makeup applications from jane iredale - The Skin Care Makeup®.

"More and more people are interested in making their next vacation a spa vacation," said Sallie Fraenkel, Chief Operating Officer of Spa Finder, Inc. "This is an extraordinary opportunity for travelers to experience and learn first-hand which spa is right for them."

Fraenkel added: "Our goal is for everyone to leave Grand Central not only refreshed and ready to take on the city – but also inspired to visit one of the world-class spas showcased at The Spa Experience."

The Spa Experience will also feature two Spa Presentation Theaters, demonstration stages where visitors can experience the latest spa treatments and products, and seminars led by experts in fitness, wellness, diet, beauty, and home spa design.

Completing Grand Central’s spa transformation, restaurants and shops throughout the terminal will feature spa-related specials, such as special menu item, book signings, and product sales.

Moffly Publications, publishers of Greenwich Magazine, Westport Magazine, and New Canaan-Darien Magazine is co-media sponsor of the event.
